Archie Musick
Archie Musick (1902 - 1978) was born in Kirksville, Missouri, studied with Thomas Hart Benton, Stanton Macdonald-Wright, and Boardman Robinson between 1929 and 1940, taught art and painted all his life. He painted three New Deal murals. His signature egg-tempera-and-colored-pencils painting technique is his alone; his inspirations came from nature, landscape, literature, and sometimes a touch of fantasy or whimsy.
